Getting Here
By car, out to the fields
Tenuta Legnate sits in the countryside of Sesto Calende, at the southern tip of Lake Maggiore, where the lake narrows and becomes the river Ticino. We're not on the lakefront: we're out among the fields, just outside town, and that's exactly the point.
It's an easy drive: from the lakes motorway, the exit for Sesto Calende is about a kilometre away, then you follow the signs out toward the countryside to Via Legnate. Even after dark the last stretch is short.
If you're landing at or leaving from Malpensa, it's about fifteen minutes: that's why many guests stay with us the night before a flight, rather than at a hotel by the terminals. If your plane leaves at dawn, write to us beforehand with the time and we'll sort everything out calmly.
Parking is free and private, on the property: leave the car as soon as you arrive and forget about it.
In the evening you drive in through the gate, and the house door is on the lower floor. The access codes for the gate and the door are listed among this card's details.
The most common mistake is looking for the lake from the window: what's in front of you here are fields, and the water is a short drive away. Knowing that in advance, you'll enjoy it twice as much.
